Alexandria, VA - Manchester Lakes - we've wanted to visit this place ever since we saw lines out the door at a downtown Seattle location. Upon entering there were no lines so we walked up to the kiosk and ordered. Your name is called out on a pretty unintelligible loudspeaker when it's ready but there's also a big order screen to track your order. While we waited we noticed a store employee cleaning each table as customers left. Very nice! Additionally when I picked up our order the counter person mentioned their name in ca... read more

This was our first time trying Dave's Hot Chicken, and it was definitely an experience! I took three kids with me, and since none of us had been there before, we needed a little time to figure out the menu. The young man working the front counter was so patient and helpful while we decided what everyone wanted. The boys had seen people trying the infamous Reaper, so of course we decided we needed to see what all the fuss was about. First time trying Dave's Hot Chicken and it wont be my last. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty, but by the time I left, there were quite a few customers. Came here for a late night dinner run for a group of five adults. The food was good and service was fast.

Very common but lives up to the hype, if you want some good chicken and don't wanna go to Chick-fil-A etc. Go give this a shot!

Went back to Dave's for a second time today and tried the mild sandwich -- and that made all the difference. The flavor was great without being too spicy. I'd definitely go back. Service was excellent, my food came out fast and hot, and the Dave's sauce is an absolute must.
