With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I recently visited Dave’s Hot Chicken and ordered the one slider and one tender meal, which came at a decent price. I went with the medium spice level, but to be honest, it wasn’t spicy at all. The tender itself was really nice, and the seasoning was spot on. The sauce, however, was what really impressed me—it was delicious! I made the mistake of getting the Reaper - I had to sign a waiver and I now understand why!! I could not eat the tender, it was insane. I got a slider in hot and it was good, could’ve even hot extra hot. Food was okay, nothing really special about it but be warned - do not try the reaper!!
The fried chicken was tasty and the fries were ok and the slider was good and the dave sauce was good but too high priced and the cheese sauce was bad service was very quick and the staff actually knew what they needed to and were professional ambience was good too
For a price tag, the taste is not even 10% of the cost. We ordered the Dave's bites. The spice level wasn't even great nor the taste. The coleslaw was also without any taste We just finished the meal for the heck of it, and the full family was disappointed. Even the fries weren't crisp, felt like it was already prepared and kept for sometime.
