2/5 – Disappointed by the Quality, but Service Was Decent I recently tried Dave’s Hot Chicken at Fairview Mall in Kitchener, and unfortunately, I left underwhelmed. The chicken had an unexpected sweetness in the rub that didn’t sit well with me—it threw off the flavor profile. Huge pieces of all white meat chicken that had a great breading and terrific seasoning. Fries were really good but mac & cheese was not great. Pretty expensive meal for chicken tenders in my opinion but it was worth trying. I really enjoyed the heat level of the reaper heat level that required signing of a waiver, it was a huge jump in heat from the extra spicy to reaper.
Server here are really nice and they always make our experience better, from the people in the kitchen to the cashier, everyone makes sure that our meal is up to standard and we are satisfied. I’ve been greeted by Namita and Sara at the cashier and they made sure we get the order we want. I’d definitely keep coming to this branch since the kitchen has been always servicing us with very good quality chicken meal.
What a great new spot. Grand opening was today, staff was fantastic. Loved all the artwork on the walls made it a very unique space. Now lets get down to the food. I can't do spicy so i went for the no spice chicken slider. It was still seasoned really well, chicken was super tender, bun was delicious and toppings were great. Heck even the fries were seasoned nice. And a small container of dip came with it which was also wonderful. Great job! Congrats on the grand opening and welcome to Kitchener!
It was our first time at Dave’s. We got their slider, chicken tender & Milkshake. 10/10 all across the board!! The milkshake was light and airy, similar to a whipped cream texture. The fries were amazing as well! The chicken was super juicy! Will definitely be coming back!
