Best chicken joint I've ever been to in the UK honestly, ordered right away at one of the self-serve kiosks. Staff saw me hesitate when ordering and eventually not buy a drink with the meal, then they were very kind in giving me a free drink so went for a Coca Cola that provides the right balance for the food's level of spice! Was quite skeptical with Dave’s as I thought it was just another viral gimmick spot that doesn’t taste as good as it looks but I was wrong. I walked past so thought I’d give it a try, went for the Dave’s combo 3 which was a tender, a sandwich and fries. Even though the meal was around £12~ which is quite hefty for fast food they didn’t skimp on the size of the tender which was HUGE but also a huge chicken tender in the sandwich too. P.s. My 2 girls really wanted to visit.....mainly to try and get me to try the reaper chicken which you have to sign a waiver for....I didn't! The service was as to be expected in a fast food place, order on screens and the food was served no more than 5 mins later. Plenty of seating and it was clean. Unfortunately we really weren't fans of the food, my daughter enjoyed the mac & cheese side and the milkshake however the chicken (the main attraction) wasn't nice. The chicken is very tasty and the sauce that comes in the meal is really nice, wish the tub of sauce was a little bigger. We bought two meals and I noticed there was a slight difference in the size of the chicken pieces which I was not expecting. Thought the size would be a bit more consistent. The slaw that was one of the sides selected was very dry with no flavour so the recipe for that could do with looking at again. Been multiple times and worth the price. Just as good as london branch. Meal number 3 is always the go to choice. Chicken is always moist and crispy, slider is peakkk. Chips are top tier, always fluffy inside and crisp on the outside. Daves sauce is good too. Mac and cheese is standard, nothing special. Toast is a slice of bread, still dont understand it.
