Dave’s Hot Chicken is a refreshing change from the usual fast-food fried chicken options like KFC or Slim Chickens, and I went in genuinely curious to see what the hype was about. Best chicken joint I've ever been to in the UK honestly, ordered right away at one of the self-serve kiosks. Staff saw me hesitate when ordering and eventually not buy a drink with the meal, then they were very kind in giving me a free drink so went for a Coca Cola that provides the right balance for the food's level of spice! Service was on point and the outer space theme of the interior feels different for a chain, especially with the chicken riding on a UFO. Was quite skeptical with Dave’s as I thought it was just another viral gimmick spot that doesn’t taste as good as it looks but I was wrong. I walked past so thought I’d give it a try, went for the Dave’s combo 3 which was a tender, a sandwich and fries. Even though the meal was around £12~ which is quite hefty for fast food they didn’t skimp on the size of the tender which was HUGE but also a huge chicken tender in the sandwich too. P.s. We visited Dave’s Hot Chicken in the Printworks and the experience was mixed. The food arrived only just warm even though the restaurant was not very busy, and the drinks machine had no syrup in most options so there was only one drink choice available. There were also a lot of people gathered in the doorways which made the entrance feel crowded and a bit stressful, especially with children. My 2 girls really wanted to visit.....mainly to try and get me to try the reaper chicken which you have to sign a waiver for....I didn't! The service was as to be expected in a fast food place, order on screens and the food was served no more than 5 mins later. Plenty of seating and it was clean. Unfortunately we really weren't fans of the food, my daughter enjoyed the mac & cheese side and the milkshake however the chicken (the main attraction) wasn't nice.
