I didn’t have a PCP when I was treated in the ER for chest pain. I work as a nurse and was quite embarrassed by it. On my chest x-ray, I had a suspected lung nodule which was quite large so I was recommended to follow up outpatient. I went to work and Dr. Smeenge had asked how I was doing due to the fact that I was working when I had chest pain. Dr. Smeenge has been my primary care doctor for a year now. I have always found him to be very professional and knowledgeable with all my questions and concerns. I have always felt that he has gone out of his way to go above and beyond during our appointments. If you are looking for a doctor with a professional bedside manner who also talks to you like the individual person you are then I can not recommend someone better. I highly recommend Dr. Smeenge. He has a lot of compassion for patients and is very thorough. He puts in effort into figuring out what is causing my problems.

Saw him multiple times and had ultrasounds and tests ran only to tell me I needed to stop smoking weed. He continued to even after I reassured him it was not the problem, but a remedy to my ailments - and after the 3rd time, I sternly told him to stop insisting it was marijuana and to be more proactive in running more tests so we can find a true diagnosis. He refused. I saw another doctor and was diagnosed/treated with Chronic Lyme disease. Dr Smeenge is a close-minded and arrogant Doctor.
