We have lived here for over a year and have absolutely loved every part of it. The location is perfect and the views are so beautiful! After having toured every other apartment in the downtown area The Derby was the most perfect for us. The 2 bedroom layouts can honestly not be beat by anything else in the area. Our favorite parts are the amenities, views and office staff. There is always something to do nearby and you'll love trying all the unique restaurants. Everyone on the Derby team, especially Addison and Sarai, has been very kind and helpful with the application and move-in process. The apartment complex is clean, smells nice, and has beautiful art within. It is in a safe area, surrounded by tons of cool places within walking distance. The view is also spectacular. I have an A1 studio and have been very pleased- Will include photos below. 10/10 recommend.
Don’t be fooled by The Derby’s aesthetically pleasing interior. Greystar is a slumlord of the highest degree. Before renting here, I encourage you to check out Greystar’s Wikipedia page under the heading “Tenant Lawsuits.” It paints a clear picture of the management at The Derby: incompetent by design to increase their bottom line. Living here for almost a year during my residency intern year, I’d like to share a few thoughts. Overall, one of the best apartments I’ve stayed at. Management are responsive, and address any issues quick like garage or power going out once and they are professional and kind. Being in the heart of downtown, noise levels are actually good and tolerable, sleep being my priority.
