Derrel's Mini Storage runs a nice storage unit experience. The facilities are clean and modern. The employees are kind and helpful all through out their Bakersfield locations. Terry helped me out and was awesome. Very helpful and informative. He was also fun to shoot the breeze with about sci-fi novels and good cycling trails. The climate controlled unit stayed completely dust free. Definitely recommend covering stuff in the outdoor units however, which store more since they are are a bit taller than the indoor ones. Office staff was very helpful and got to know us as well. We would definitely use this location again.

Great place to store your items! The management team, Lorraine & Andre are awesome, customer service is superior and the facilities are always clean! I would recommend this facility to my family and friends. Not another place in town that I would choose. If you want a safe place to store your personal belongings or Recreational Vehicles along with great customer service, go to Derrel's on Panama. Thanks for being so kind and professional!
We stored quite a few of our belongings here for over a year. This is a great storage facility. Spotless, secure, and is managed by the nicest couple. The prices were great. The storage unit was clean. The "avenues" in the storage facility are wide and can easily accommodate a large moving van, so it's easy to get your stuff in and out. And, again, the staff is trustworthy and delightful to deal with.
This place is ran by extremely rude people who don't send out bills then act like you're trying to avoid payment. I was trying to enter the facility and the manager rudely said "you can't get in because your bill is overdue." She did not say hello, how are you, nothing. I said that if I had known I would have paid it and was greeted by silence. Pulled over, went inside to pay, and asked about how I would know when the bill is due, what day is it due, etc and they just said "we don't send out statements and that's in your con... read more
