If it wasn't for Bridgehampton national Bank , I wouldn't have my companies they have great customer service Marjorie Meehan will call me and discuss any problems before returning a check. This bank is the absolute worst. It took me 3 days to get someone on the phone to help me figure out my online banking information (because I had been unenrolled for some reason). The first day they sent me on a wild goose chase and told me to call back tomorrow, only to find that the person who they told me to call was going to be on vacation for the entire week. This bank is so antiquated. The lobby is open until 4PM but some tellers are already closed at 3PM. Cash was deposited at 3:15PM and it was not credited until the day later, BNB citing that the teller that assisted us was closed-out for the day. . You literally have to ask if the teller you get is still "on the same day" even if the lobby is open. When you get your personal bank account monthly statements, copy of canceled checks are not enclosed, you have to order them which takes days to get. Online banking is constant... read more
This is the worst bank on the east end of long island. They never understand what you're trying to accomplish - and are so slow at executing tasks. They have little to no communication between branches which is beyond frustrating when trying to stop payments, transfer money, etc. I have had multiple issues on various occasions with them withdrawing too much money, after calling when I see that too many checks are going out (for no reason). Hate this bank. Absolutely terrible customer service. My card is on hold because of a fraud attempt on my account and when I called the Fraud Detection services to get it fixed, it was absolutely impossible to get through to a representative after trying 6 times only for the automated system to hang up after 5 minutes on hold because of "longer than usual wait times". Ugh! This bank appears to be designed to give great service to businesses...but not individuals. Their online site is unwieldy and obtuse. Their customer service is minimal and only during banking hours. There are no deposit envelopes available at their outside ATM after-hours. They are incredibly inflexible. They don't respond to email customer service inquiries. They pass you around until you finally get someone's voicemail if you call in. Stay away!
