We have done two training sessions with Robert (Dogboy) so far, and have one more on the calendar. We can't recommend them highly enough! I think the term "dog whisperer" gets thrown around for dog trainers frequently, but it really is true with Robert. During both sessions, our pretty high-energy rescue bernedoodle started offering up the positive behaviors we were working on without prompting! Robert helped us fix some issues that we had tried to work through with other trainers but hadn't seen any improvement on - and wit... read more

Do you and your dog a favor and take a lesson with Rob. His level of knowledge and experience is very impressive and he has a fantastic ability to explain complex concepts in easy to understand analogies. This is not an exaggeration or hyperbole, working with Rob has changed the relationship I have with my dog which has led to an overall improvement in my day to day life. For context myself and my wife rescued a hound mix called Willow who came with some baggage. She was intensely leash reactive, barking and wanting to fight... read more

My dog, Comet, has all sorts of rescue quirks and can be a bit dramatic with her reactions including jumping, separation anxiety and reactions to loud/new NYC experiences, but drastically improved since working with Dogboy and especially the private lessons with Robert. When we started Comet could barely be left alone and had separation anxiety where I could barely leave an hour without her howling in her crate or trying to get out. Through working with Robert we have not only gotten her comfortable in her crate, but now ... read more

We had a wonderful experience with Dogboy NYC! My dog Rupert came away with many new skills. The classes were broken out well and felt like just enough to take-in and practice at home each week. My puppy completed the classes while he was 7-8 months, which seemed to be just the right age for him. Everyone at Wag Club where the classes took place were also very friendly. Definitely worth the experience and many positive takeaways.

Business response:

Thanks for the awesome review, Larisa! We had such a great time having you and Rupert in class, keep up the good work!

We've really enjoyed working with Robert to train Luna, our five year-old rescue. When we first brought her home, Luna was scared of everything and lacked trust and confidence. Through training with Robert, we've learned how to better communicate with Luna and build her confidence. After a few months, she's learned basic obedience and is a happy-go-lucky dog, strutting through the city with her tail wagging! We really appreciate that Robert assesses Luna's behavior and progress each step of the way, and provides appropriate... read more

Robert was great, super patient and helped us address issues such as leash pulling and lunging at people - made all the difference! Would definitely recommend.

Business response:

Thanks, Sabrina! We appreciate the recommendation and review!

From the very start, it's been an amazing experience. Robert and his team are helpful and kind, patient and generous with their time. I recently rescued a dog and was a little unfamiliar with what to know and how to approach training this adorable new family member. Robert came to my home, met me in the park and answered all my (sometimes) frantic questions with a smile and a wonderful sense of humor.

Business response:

Thanks for the kind review Sarah! It has been an equally lovely experience working with you and your family! Obi is one lucky dog!
