Fantastic practice. Very attentive, friendly, and on time. Dr. Balar and his staff quickly diagnosed my problem and explained it in easy to understand terms. A few steroid shots coupled with some execises for at home, and my shoulder is feeling as good as new. Would highly recommend their services.
I have an aging body with discomfort and a leaning posture. I wanted to know if my issue was spine or muscle or both. Fortunately, I have only a muscle problem/weakness. I was given exercises to do and a referral to PT to ensure that I learned the exercise protocol. Questions answered, fears allayed, and instructions for improvement. I met Dr. Balar at the Freehold NJ location, which is part of the CentraState Hospital complex. The building is set back from the actual hospital and has ample parking and pleasant and helpful office staffing. My wait time was zero as I was one of a couple of patients awaiting evaluation. Dr. Balar was congenial, communicated well, took time to review my knee injury circumstances before examination and spent time discussing and prescribing further diagnostics and treatments. Overall, this was a positive first visit.
I’ve never received more direct answers from a doctor before. I told him my issues, ran the correct tests, and figured out something I was told was nothing for a long time. It’s nice to be listened to for a change. Oh love docs personality!!!! Easy to work with for sure!
I had heard good things about Dr Balar, so I decided to consult him about a long standing issue I have with piriformis syndrome. I have several other disabling conditions as well, and am tired of not being able to walk. Dr Balar was pretty clear by his attitude and behavior that he liked the kind of patients that are athletes and that have clear cut problems he can treat without much research and that won't take up more than the allotted 15 minutes.
