My son had a football injury and ended up having an OCD lesion and subsequent knee surgery. We saw two different surgeons, and after I met Dr. McVicker, decided to do the surgery with him. I've met with many surgeons in the past, due to my own surgeries, and he does not present as your 'normal' detached, apathetic surgeon. The entire staff was so professional and caring. It was the best physician experience I've had. Dr. McVicker asked questions, listened carefully, took his time, and thoroughly explained everything. At other practices and with other surgeons I've often felt like just a number. Here, I was treated like a human whose well-being was truly important to them. Excellent hip replacement. Using a walker for 3 days, then walking unassisted. Walking 2 miles daily within 2 weeks. Great surgeon.

Dr. McVicker performed complex surgery on our daughter’s knee, a four -hour procedure. After two weeks there is no pain, very little swelling and she is starting to walk on her own. Great job, great team.

My first visit to Dr. McVicker was very thorough. I was referred to him for hip pain, and Doc manipulated my legs to pinpoint the exact area I was having pain. He is very meticulous, and wants me to get an MRI before issuing a prognosis.
