The business then became Griffin and Sons in the 1870’s until it was taken over by Ewart Cobden Alderwick in 1945. Ewart became a popular figure in and around the Kingswood area, playing football at a high level for Cadbury Heath. From the first meeting we had with Kate and Tracey in Hanham and all the organisation all the way through, made the whole experience so much more comforting and easier. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the arranged route we wanted dad to take to the church was not as planned, which was slightly disappointing considering it was confirmed only the night prior. However this did not detract from the care and compassion given throughout.
