We moved into our Holt Homes property at Quail Run a few weeks ago, and our experience has been extremely disappointing due to poor craftsmanship and unprofessional handling throughout the final stages of our home purchase. I'm currently closing on a Holt Home in Eagle Point and it's been a nightmare closing using their in-house mortgage lender CLM Mortgage. It is not worth the $20k in incentives; which more than half went to closing costs. It took weeks to get an appraisal and costed me hundreds of dollars in extra U-Haul costs due to delays, let alone the stress of running out on our townhouse lease, possibly being without a home, etc. I would recommend using your own lender. As an investor, I've dealt with various construction companies, but Holt Homes New Construction is in a league of its own. Their team's familial touch in customer service is exceptional. They treated me with immense respect and warmth, making me feel right at home. Their honesty and transparency in communication were refreshing. Working with Holt Homes has been nothing but endless frustration from the very beginning. From the initial sales experience, with the sales person covering from Portland, to dealing with post-move in repairs and warranty work we have been met with consistent misinformation, lack of communication, resistance, and unprofessionalism.
