Enjoyed my experience here! Such a cozy spot to chill with friends over chai and snacks. The seating is comfy and relaxed. We tried a bunch of dishes — pani puri, dhokla, dahi papdi, Chotu’s sandwich special, and chilli garlic Maggi (Raman with Indian flavours) — and honestly enjoyed everything! Some of them were totally new to me, but they were all so tasty. Perfect place to hang out, try something different, and enjoy good food and chai!
This cafe was cozy and relaxing and service was friendly. I was impressed with their selection of chai, I didn't know there were so many different varieties. My friend and I tried elaichi chai and ginger chai and they were both so comforting on a cold, rainy day. I'm not a huge fan of chai but I'm alwyas up to try new spots so I was so happy to have discovered Ek Chai Kahani! They serve a variety of traditional Indian snacks, drinks and street foods! On my visit, I discovered that I actually like chai but thought I didn't because I've never had GOOD chai. Consider me converted because their Masala chai and Kadak chai were an absolute delight! We also tried their spicy potato stack toasty, Sev Puri, Curry puff and Dhokha! All the dishes packed a flavourful punch! Highly recommend!
Loved this place. A true hidden gem. Food is just delicious. Their spicy potato sandwich is the prefect combo of flavors. My personal favourite star of this place is idli chutney. This reminded me of mumbai's cycle idli. The taste and flavors of all their dishes are absolutely delicious. They dont have everything on the menu but serve the limited options with excellence. Ek Chai Kahani instantly reminded us of home. From the moment we dipped Osmania biscuits into their kadak chai, it felt like Hyderabad right here in Canada. My husband, being from Hyderabad, was so happy to taste authentic zafrani chai and snacks he grew up with.
