I was worried after seeing the low google reviews. We were told to call a day early to set a time and when we did no one answered. The day of the trip we were called a little after 8am to set up a pick up time which was great. The pick up experience was easy and everything was explained line by line. My family absolutely loved the rv and the experience. We found out that they were short staffed and this was the major issue. Did not have a good experience in Salt Lake. Was told I was going to have A 2025 and it wasn’t. Only had a half tank gas, was told it was full. Bathroom and shower door didn’t close. Couldn’t connect to WiFi with tv. Also don’t pay for kitchen set like we did because it automatically comes with it! Our friends didn’t pay and they all got kitchen set. List goes on and on, never again will I rent from them.
This location DOES NOT answer the phone, I attempted to contact them a week before with several questions on the check-in and pick-up process, and I COULD NOT GET through despite leaving at least 7 messages. I received a call the morning of to set up a pick-up time, and upon arrival, I waited over an hour to get the RV. My experience with the local person at the Salt Lake City location, Mimi, could not have been better. She explained everything thoroughly and worked with me every step of the way. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful 11 day trip where we drove nearly 2200 miles and visited 5 national parks. The only complaint we had was the side, slide window was very loud. I rented an RV from El Monte RV from October 17 to October 21, 2024. During this time, I accidentally caused minor damage to the vehicle’s roof. Despite having purchased the highest level of insurance, I was informed that I would be liable for $6,526.82 in damages.
