It was sad to bury the closed ones so funeral homes can make a big difference on the transparency of cost and the details of the actual service. Once I found out my brother's autopsy was done , we've arranged a meeting with the funeral home. I got the email for things to be pre-filled and the costing PDF so I was well prepared of what's available. We clarified the cremation process and paid for the service. I usually prefer not to rate places like these, but Elgin Mills Cemetery is one of the best, if not the best. I say this because the people that are working there are at the highest standard that could be when it comes to serving and accommodating people. Both my grandfathers are rested there and both times the people working there were genuinely there to help and serve us. I just went tonight for a visitation. This cemetery is smaller than a lot of the cemeteries in the Mount Pleasant Group, but it's slowly becoming larger with time. Theres a lot of open spaces with no trees, but there are areas with some trees. Their mausoleum is nice. It was renovated recently, and it has crypts and glass fronted niches. I heard that this cemetery has cheaper plots than the other cemeteries in T.O. There's no famous faces in this cemetery...yet. I look forward to this place growing more! :)

Great visitation chapel, well maintained grounds/cemetary even if a bit loud because of proximity to highway. One of my grandmothers is buried here at this cemetery along with a number of other more distant relatives. Jennifer K has captured how nice/architecturally unique the visitation chapel is in her pictures - and it's where I've attended a number of services. I don't enjoy going to Funeral... So sad, so depressed! Though I have to say Elgin Mills Cemetery Visitation Chapel is one of the best funeral services location I been to. This is such a convenient location since it is right next to 404. There are ample of parkings. The grounds are well kept. The inside is nicely decorated. I would've written a review about this place last year, but I was still grieving the loss of two beloved grandparents 19 days apart. At the time of writing this review, I've been to three funerals at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre. The first was pre-COVID-19, where the service and the burial was very well conducted. The staff were extremely professional and well mannered. Honestly, nothing to complain about.
