Updated my previous review (5 stars) to a 1-star review. Long story short: Avoid this company. First of all, the product and the people applying it are not certified. They burned my grass because the technician applied too strong a concentration of crabgrass killer, which also damaged other plants I have—grapevines and raspberry bushes. Beware of deceptive marketing calls. Yard condition -- 5 stars. The unfavorable review is entirely based on their marketing. I've used Emerald for years now and have been mostly happy with the service. Yard looks good, and when I had an issue a few years ago, one phone call and it was resolve right away. Our rep was friendly and efficient in applying our grub treatment application yesterday. We chatted for a few minutes and could tell he is a very upbeat person, sharing his knowledge about what's happening in other lawns and gardens in our vicinity. The rep before him had a lot of product knowledge that he freely shared with us. Hats off to Emerald for finding these reps for us!
My experience hasn’t been as shiny as most of the reviews here. Yes, the people at Emerald are nice, but I canceled my service with them today. I decided to give them a try this year after being told how great of a job they’d do for me. Well, the first time they came out, they didn’t even fertilize the north side of my driveway — and the proof was on my camera. I took the time to go outside and meet Matt this morning. He is very personable and knowledgeable. This is more for the office, we often work late. Would it be possible to schedule Matt for after 8:00. Also, they cut our grass on Wednesday between 8-9. Fridays after 8:00 would be great. Thank you. Will Koch
