I came to Encompass at almost 700lbs feeling like they were my last chance to bettering myself and they honestly ended up being my best experience EVER When you are someome my size you feel like you already at a disadvange and when put in the under the wrong care that ends up being true which makes the fight to get better even harder almost not in sight. This place is truly wonderful! I came here from Moffit after surgery. I was completely independent before surgery but after a 10 hr. procedure that was supposed to be 6-7, I was stiff as a board and dependent on simply turning myself, doing personal care, and transferring to/from my wheelchair. It was terrifying to suddenly have to depend on others to do things you do everyday. I will never forget though, coming in on that first night. My husband was the patient at Encompass in St Petersburg. I did the research and toured the facilities. Encompass is bright clean and welcoming. Private rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff is beyond measure. Nursing is kind and skilled. Therapists were fantastic. Austin is a miracle worker. Her understanding of therapeutic needs and patient ability physically and mentally are remarkable . My husband improved greatly after two weeks. I never had a concern of care and support. My mom had a stroke around Christmas time, experiencing aphasia and right sided weakness. The therapy team customized her sessions to fit our custom & life style. Initially, my mom was unable to ambulate. She was able to walk with a walker and at times by herself upon discharge. The therapy team is the heart of this hospital. Dr Tonuzi was also amazing! Case management was on point with discharge planning. All the rooms are private and beautiful. I highly recommend Encompass St Pete.

My mom stayed at Encompass Rehab Center following a hospital visit, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The nurses, therapists, and support staff were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They created a clear rehabilitation plan and worked closely with her to help her regain strength and confidence. Communication with me during her time there was consistent and reassuring. I highly recommend Encompass to anyone in need of quality rehabilitation care.
