Delicious food and atmosphere! We had the Border Burrito, the Birria Tacos and the Nachos. All of which were very tasty. The walnut sauce on the burrito was exceptionally flavorful! Our service was just ok, had to be reminded about the drinks and didn't offer any sauces like they did with other patrons, I think the cashier was new, so I'm not going to knock off any stars for that. Would definitely recommend!
Genuinely the place you want to go if you’re looking for THAT food. Unbeatable taco deals with incredible flavors. We were gifted chips and salsa but don’t get it twisted this isnt the normal complementary stuff. Home made salsas and chips send the experience to a 4 star by itself. The staff is incredible and I am writing this not to get the free dessert since they gave us some before mentioning reviews, but solely for the fact that as a picky foody who doesnt put up with bad food. We came here from 4 hours away. We seen a video while exploring tiktok and found this place. Killer $1.00 tacos with purchase of a drink! We ordered pastor and chicken and both meats are delicious. The tacos are very filling! The staff is very friendly and fun to converse with. The atmosphere is very uplifting. When we are in the area we will dine again! Update: still a great place. The only negative i could say is the point system needs work. We have since gone here 6 times. We come here everytime we are in the area.
Look I don't review places much, but It took an entire hour to get 2 California burritos. Which are not only cold, but also entirely tortilla, steak, and mozzarella?!? Pico and guac are extra, seriously you charge for pico? This is unacceptable, for 13$ my burrito should not be this bad, or take an hour to get. Bottom line, I have liked Esmeralda's before, but I will not be returning. This was unacceptable, even for Humboldt.
The food itself was good and the inside is clean but it isn't anything special or to get excited over. It isn't necessarily a must go but it is good if you want to just hop in, get something to eat, and go. I will say the street tacos were good but honestly the steak ones are not worth it. They have a $1 street taco deal but to get it you have to buy a drink and then the beef ones are an extra $1.50 per taco. So for a 6 taco instead of $6 it's now $15 plus whatever the drink costs. Again in my opinion not worth it.
