I had a total ankle replacement 5 yrs ago & it was a total success. I was in a lot of pain 24/7 before the operation. The Lakewood Ranch Hospital staff, Dr Cottom & all who assist him made the process as smooth as possible. The recovery is tough the few weeks, but it was worth it all to have a life without ankle pain now at 70. I'm able to walk as much as I want & golf with no pain ever. I've been going to Dr. Cottom for many years and am now seeing Dr. McManus Saw Dr. Cottom today to say "hi" and Dr. McM took care of me. I cannot say enough positive comments about the Doctors and their staff. They are all so welcoming and caring. I'd recommend them highly. Great group!
This was a routine checkup. Wait time was short and staff was friendly. Over past several years I’ve had a couple of surgeries by Dr Cottom and I’ve been very pleased with how I was treated, both the procedures and follow up care. Dr Cottom himself is a caring and very skilled surgeon and I’ll continue to use his services in the future if needed.
I saw Dr. Cottom for an issue that he quickly assessed and gave me options on how to proceed. He did not pressure me to do the more "invasive" route and answered every one of my questions to my total satisfaction. He was very friendly and attentive and his front office staff, plus the young male doctor who was assisting him, were all quite nice and very accommodating.. We were in Sarasota on vacation when our daughter injured her foot on the beach. We got an appointment at Modern Foot & Ankle the same day we called! From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Nurse Brittany and Dr. Heather Wilson were amazing. Such kind and caring people.
