I had a total ankle replacement 5 yrs ago & it was a total success. I was in a lot of pain 24/7 before the operation. The Lakewood Ranch Hospital staff, Dr Cottom & all who assist him made the process as smooth as possible. I've been going to Dr. Cottom for many years and am now seeing Dr. McManus Saw Dr. Cottom today to say "hi" and Dr. McM took care of me. I cannot say enough positive comments about the Doctors and their staff. They are all so welcoming and caring. I'd recommend them highly. Great group!
Dr. Cotton is the best! He assessed a previous surgery from a bad heel and ankle break I sustained in CA. To my good fortune that surgeon is a colleague of Dr. Cottom and referred me once I was living in FL. He determined a second surgery was necessary and I’ve recovered to almost 100%. At 65 I’m able to do most of the activities I’ve always done and I’m so thankful everyday for him and his amazing team.
My client selected Modern Foot & Ankle due to the office's proximity to her home. She also asked that we booked the appointment and assist her with receiving, completing, and submitting the new patient forms, as she is in her 90s. The office staff was very responsive and helpful. My girlfriend had major surgery on her right foot. Dr. Cottom is not only an excellent surgeon, but very understanding, thorough, and honestly one of the best physicians around (and I didn't even have the surgery....lol). Excellent office, and staff, as well. Always get you right in, which is rare for a doctors office. Highly recommend.
