Extra Space Storage on 1242 West Washington is well managed, efficient, safe, and a cleaned facility thanks to Letty and Sergio. Both Letty and Serio are very accommodating, responsive, and attentive! We had a pleasant experience in this facility. While my lease ended today, will certainly use them in the future and would highly recommend to others.

You need storage? Looking around the city, not sure what to do, where to go, how much to pay? STOP looking and just make the decision to go to Extra. If you can, swing by to see Rakeya, not only will she help you rent a storage locker, she'll also brighten your day. I stopped by the West Loop location and was lucky enough to have her sitting behind the desk when I walked in (her normal store location is on Harrison). Front desk woman is amazing! Super clean place! I am glad I picked this place as my storage!
Very neat and clean facility, Kevin at the front desk was extremely helpful and attentive. Their store section also sells things you might need during your move, it's always useful because I tend to pack scissors and tape before I realize I wasn't don't using them!! Will be coming back here for all my future storage needs for sure!!

Im always needing temporary space for my business plan. Extra Space is a great company to work for. The Manger at the Washington location is great. He is professional and courteous. The facility has indoor parking, easy access to lockers. The elevators are well maintained. The bathrooms are clean likely mother's home !
As others have said, Ketora was phenomenal. I got checked in quickly, and though she said she'd been having a slightly challenging day, I saw her treat several other customers with enormous amounts of respect and a smile - even saving one of her customers from getting a ticket because he hadn't turned on his hazards when he parked outside. She also helped me get my 9' cargo van into and out of the storage unit - since I wasn't feeling very confident with it in the smaller spaces. Ketora, the store manager, is amazing! This was my first time renting out a storage locker. She was very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. She made it very easy & stress free. The actual storage lockers are very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this place for storage.
Adam is the absolute best!! From beginning to end my experience was unreal at extra space! By the end I felt like he was not just a massive help and calming presence during a stressful move, but a great friend. I almost felt inclined to keep the space further from my new home just so I could interact with him! The facilities are spotless, everything is in amazing working order, and I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone and everyone use this location!
