My initial experience was absolutely great with Extra Space Storage - I was helped by friendly staff who were knowledgeable about all ESS' products & services. I went over the contract before signing it--it can be complicated to decipher a contract containing legal terminology--it's best to ask for clarification from the person who initially helped you. Hope this helps you & future customers! Don't be afraid to ask for help!!!

I just received ANOTHER INCREASE NOTICE. This time it's up to $210. It's gone up almost $100 in 18 months. I had a pretty lengthy conversation with the woman running the place when I was shopping around for storage and she had said that although they don't lock in pricing, they very rarely increase the price. What a load of BS that was. This is the third increase in 18 months. Basically, they increase the rent every six months. I would stay far away from this place. They increased my rent by $40 a month two months after I moved all my stuff in They gave me a month notice like they were supposed to but I had an entire apartments worth of stuff in there so I wasn't about to take it all out to move to another unit that was less money :( The people were nice there but I would've gone somewhere else if I knew that they were going to raise the price per month by that much so soon
