I started renting from this facility in March 2025, and in the end of June 2025 I noticed mold was growing in my unit. I pay for climate controlled services but the building my unit was located in was hot and humid (leading to the mold growth). I asked the office how long the unit had been out of AC and it had been down for a minimum of 2 weeks. We got a storage space at 1400 S. Durant in Alvin, TX. The manager Fallon was superb. The best customer service attitude I've ever had at a storage place. Place was clean and looked well organized. I might be renting another space soon.
This is an older storage facility, it looks like they just painted it and replaced some doors. It is storage so we don’t ask much on the looks side. Today we got a notice that our $83 storage (which was a great deal) is going up $80, yes $80 as in doubling next month. I get you need to raise rates sometime but doubling rent is crazy. When I am done typing this review I am searching for a new storage place.
We are glad we rented a storage unit at extra space storage, it was easy to reserve a unit online and the unit we were given was the perfect size for us. Fallon, the manager was very helpful and friendly. Extra Space was also less expensive than other storage Facilities in the area.
After getting a remarkable deal online to move in for “$90” total, I rolled up two days in a row to move in and on day two, I had an employee tell me “well the right people find their units when they move in” all while my 8 year old son was with me.. and I just can’t seem to scratch my head around that one. Just unprofessional and unbelievably sad how I couldn’t catch a simple door point to a unit and an explanation that my unit was indoors.
