Total SCAM. They get you in at a low price then 4 months later, they increase your rent 300% (3x). I was paying $38/month for 5x10 - after 4 months, paying $114!!! They say " Rate changes reflect market trends and help us maintain our facility’s standards "...if that's the case...why are the same 5x10 units being offered to NEW customers at $23/month? That's cause they BAIT N SWITCH...they'll get you in at $23/month and jack up your rent 3X in a few months. STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!
Don't fall for the good prices. Very misleading. The first month special was actually a 5 day special for me. The only to get the full month is to start your reservation on the first or last day of the month. Say you start on the 29th, you get either a one or 2 day special. So you pay the fees and rent at the special rate, then 2 days later you owe the full month plus the expensive insurance that you're forced to pay. Just left Safe Nest about an hour ago with my parents. As we were leaving we turned down a row and two cars were blocking the end of this particular row that led to the entrance. Normally if you have two cars on a particular row the smart and respectful and reasonable thing to do is to park behind the other car, so you’re not blocking any other cars in from leaving. The staff at SafeNest Storage did a great job bringing me in, and they made my transition very smooth, quick and easy! They were very friendly and knowledgeable about their job. The price of my unit is probably the least expensive of any other unit that I inquired about. I'm extremely pleased, and I'll be here for quite some time!! Thanks a bunch!
I would strongly warn against renting an inside climate-controlled unit at this location. My unit experienced water damage from the buildings roof, resulting in rust and water damage to my belongings. Evidence of water seepage can be seen on the ceilings. While SafeNest offers an insurance plan that covers such damages, they do not cover costs if you insure the unit outside of their plan with your personal insurance company.
