I leased through storage mart a year ago. Come April 2026 they were sold to Extra Storage. No issues but my rate went up 20 a month. Fast forward to yesterday 7.24.26. I get an email that due to market rates my monthly payment was going up $100/month and $1,200 for the year. I think is outrageous. I just decided to up and find another storage unit with another company for the original price a year ago. You don’t make anything and you don’t build anything. So mark we rates for what??
