There are many fascinating plants and the atmosphere is excellent, although only about half of the garden feels truly interesting. The other section is mostly centered around a lake, with relatively little to see nearby. I would recommend visiting once, especially for the rainforest area and the laboratory next to it. The laboratory was one of the highlights, so make sure to go inside. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but the ticket price felt somewhat too high for what is offered.

I visited Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden on Old Cutler Road in Coral Gables a while back, and it felt like stepping into a very calm, green world just outside the city. The place is big—bigger than I expected—so walking around takes time. The paths are easy to follow, but you definitely end up doing a lot of walking under the sun, with patches of shade that help when it gets hot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly exceptional botanical garden. The incredible variety of plants, palms, and tropical species is simply breathtaking, and the lush greenery throughout the grounds creates a wonderfully serene atmosphere. The butterfly exhibition is a delightful highlight. Everything is immaculately maintained—the gardens are beautifully organized, peaceful, and clearly very well managed. A visit to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is truly a full-day experience and well worth it! This garden is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed, offering something for everyone from plant lovers to families with young children. One of the best tips I can share: when you purchase your ticket, be sure to sign up for the complimentary tram tour. It departs every hour on the hour and takes you throughout the entire garden while knowledgeable guides point out unique plants, wildlife, and hidden gems along the way.... read more

So, you'd have to be about 100 years old to have seen a Florida that looked like this. Mind you, you would have also needed an experienced staff of gardeners to. This is one of the nicest and well cared for bits of hidden Florida that you well ever find. What's so special? It's so special! You will see outdoor settings that you will not see anywhere else in North America.
