My Mom also was the one who needed repairs on her roof, which she’s been in farm bureau for 50+ years. Her agent was very ugly to us and told many lies to keep from getting her roof fixed, after going through all kinds of problems with him we finally got it fixed. We finds out now they have canceled her insurance which we had no clue, this was after my brother went to check on some things for her, my Mom is 85.
Called agent Jerry Palmer and asked him what my insurance was going to be before I bought a new truck. He said "no change". Bought the new truck and called him. The rate went up $500. He said "I don't remember what I say from one phone call to the next". I swore on that day I would never use Farm Bureau again and 20 years later I still haven't. He may no longer work at Booneville Farm Bureau but he lied to me and I will never use Farm Bureau again.
My experience with Farm Bureau was very bad. My mother has a policy that is 50+ years old and we have reported leaking roof, mold and now water coming thru the ceiling. They have rejected many claims over the past few years. They have paid nothing to fix the problems. This was over 3 years ago Was told one price and charged differently and was charged membership fee ( never returned) we left and went to different company and the agent was about himself not us I don't believe he is with them anymore .
Stopped by to simply cancel and WASTED 45 MINUTES of time arguing that it would be cheaper to leave the bundle as is, but never once would explain/show the figures backing that up. Very suspicious and ensured that I was making the right decision taking my business elsewhere
