RecommendedMy parents have lived at Firesteel Health Care Center for 3&1/2 years. In that time I can honestly say I’ve never once been concerned about their care. I live 70 miles from Mitchell so it’s important to me that they are in good hands since I can’t be there every day. Any concerns I’ve ever had have been resolved quickly. Recommendedmy mother has been a resident now at firesteel for just about 2 months now and is just loving it! when first admitted she could barely push herself out of her chair,now she is walking around 400 ft!! all thanks to the great therapy team!! I was expecting to have to put her on dialysis but now due to proper nutrition and a good nursing staff to help with her meds and i should menchion she is in a gluren free diet and they cater to this greatly as its very important piece she is able to hold off for now!! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! Our family member stayed at this facility for 13 days because it quickly became clear that we needed to transfer them elsewhere! During that short time, there were multiple concerning issues. Their transportation scheduling is disorganized, causing unnecessary and stressful wait times. Our family member missed a scheduled hospital appointment (despite the hospital being located just across the street), arrived 20 minutes late to the rescheduled visit, and were sent to the hospital on another occasion... read more
RACIST LIED ON ME AND ANOTHER TRAVELER LIKE WE WERE BEING RUDE TO A RESIDENT WE NEVER WERE RUDE THE RESIDENT WE WERE BOTH STRESS OUT FOR WORKING SHORT WITH ALL OF THE RESIDENT WE HAD TO DO WITH NO HELP . THIS PLACE DONT CARE ABOUT STAFF ARE RESIDENTS.
