This company is a absolute joke, got a policy, gave proof of prior insurance (was 6 months old but while being overseas I didn't have the cars covered so no newer cards or policy's available) and due to that they cancelled my policy. Here is the kicker, they say I owe them money and yet had a way to TAKE DIRECT WITHDRAWAL I SET UP!!!!!!! If someone wasn't driving a vehicle and it wasn't insured while in Afghanistan exactly what would you like me to do to get you more current cards for policies that don't exist!?!?! My boyfriend and I were hit by a man covered by Gainsco. When we tried to make the claim and Gainsco said that their driver would have 30 days to take responsibility or they would otherwise drop it. Now we're looking at paying for the damage on our car that another person is responsible for. We are dealing with Gainsco out of Dallas Texas and the adjuster took 5 days to call us back. It was then Gainsco recommended we "just get a lawyer". All because the person responsible will not answer the phone.
