I had a procedure scheduled that required advance preparation on my part. Upon arriving at the facility and checking in, I was informed for the first time that I owed approximately $600 before the procedure could be performed. At no point prior to my appointment was I contacted regarding this balance, which would have allowed me to prepare accordingly. The worst customer service I've ever seen, from the front desk until the procedure. I went for an endoscopy and colonoscopy and they treat you like an object except the guy ftom the anesthesia, he was the only one kind and took his time to explain the procedure and what he was going to do. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Would give 0 stars if I could! If you have the option DO NOT GO TO Barkley Surgicenter because you are treated poorly. They stuck me 3 times and bruised me extremely bad & I’m usually an easy stick. I was a phlebotomist & believe me their skills are poor. Dr.Koka is my gastro here and has been for many years. I personally like him however, last years colonoscopy revealed 16 polyps. When I awoke he said I must repeat in 1 yr since so many polyps but he said I have to go to Naples hospital. I also had to get clearance from my pulmonary Dr,which I did. So,now ive sent him pulmonary clearance again but hes demanding a cardiologist clearance and ive no idea why. He stressed the need for a repeat in one year and that would be May. My experience has been very different than most on here. In September 2025, I had some blood in my bowels. Not a lot. I was on blood thinners because I had a TIA, mini stroke and the Vascular Surgeon needed me on them for an upcoming surgery in October 2025. After that surgery, he needed me on them for 3 months to make sure the stent does not clot. My bleeding got worse.
