This is the typical medical experience that so many have decided to accept…They were adamant about me filling a 20 minute long pre-check in… which i filled 4-6 days before my appointment. They also ask that we arrive about 10-15 mins early, because if you are 15 minutes late or more, the appointment gets canceled… So i showed up 10 mins early, only to learn that my pre check in had to be redone… so another 20 minutes to do it AGAIN! My mom had an appointment at 11:20 am today, we arrived at 1132am, which was 12 mins late, and although I do realize that being on time is very important they do have a 15 min grace period. I left work early and drove from punta Gorda just to take my mom to this appointment. Dr. Sullivan did not want to attend to my mother for being 12 mins late which in my opinion was either racism or laziness. I am genuinely shocked by how poorly this situation was handled. Less than an hour before my scheduled appointment, I received a call informing me that the physician would not be available and that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. What makes this even more frustrating is that I confirmed the appointment online twice. After scheduling my procedure six weeks in advance, your office failed to call in my prep prescription until less than 24 hours before. I reorganized my entire schedule to prepare properly, and my time has value.
