First and foremost: if you can actually see a practitioner they're wonderful. But good luck actually seeing one. They use a 3rd party scheduler who has extremely limited access to information and the office doesnt respond to the scheduler's urgent messages. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Marchioni Berry 3 months out. Appointment cancelled day of because doctor was out sick and it took forever to actually get ahold of the office to figure out what was up. The PA is so nice and the doctor is nice. If your nervous don’t be. Bc you are there for a reason.. And where they sent me to do the colonoscopy is also so nice. Not a fan that the colonoscopy place/sw surgery center does not run your insurance first. But Gastro md does. Everything ran very smooth.
I really have not had a great experience with this office. It has been incredibly difficult to get in touch with anyone after my colonoscopy to confirm if my abdominal pain is abnormal. It’s incredibly frustrating. I have had so much difficulty with their communication. Their surgical suites were incredibly poor communication - it was hard to even get the start time of my colonoscopy. Started to develop ongoing nausea and had a follow up appointment about my HIDA scan results that’s a week and a half away. So I went to make an appointment today and scheduled it for tomorrow but then decided to reschedule for today because I wanted something for the nausea. I went in for the initial appointment and everything went fine. The doctor scheduled a colonoscopy for me. It would be my first one ever, so I was not sure what to expect. My procedure was scheduled for a Monday morning, and the prep would take place the weekend before, as the doctor wanted me to prep for two days instead of the typical one day.
