I had a very frustrating experience with Georgia Urology related to billing transparency. First you call one number regardless of where your doctor is so the wait time is unacceptably long. I received a payment request with no explanation of what the charge was for. After calling twice and speaking with a supervisor, I was told the charge was for the physician portion of my HoLEP surgery, separate from the hospital billing. That part is understandable. My experience with Georgia Urology has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Scheduling was disorganized, communication between staff was inconsistent, and at no point did I receive a proper physical examination. I was moved through appointments without clear explanations, and each person I spoke with seemed unaware of what the previous person had done. The billing process was just as frustrating. Very unprofessional and not good listeners when I speak to them over the phone. I thought my primary care physician referred me for an ultrasound, that I scheduled and completed. It wasn't until I asked about the results that I was told Dr. Stites ordered it. I didnt know because I had zero communication about it from his office. I called asking about the resukts that a nurse told me would be uploaded to the portal. The most unprofessional medical facility I have ever dealt with. Never on time for appointments, will not respond to questions/request through portal or by phone, and cannot even send correct perscriptions to your pharmacy. If you need a PA for a medication, might as well go find a new doctor because they can seem to complete.

Your time will be wasted. 1st appointment - waited over an hour for Dr Stites. 2nd appointment - virtual follow up on labs - again waited over an hour. Called the office to see where the Dr was. Was told to wait more. Then got a call saying the appointment had been "cancelled" because I had to redraw the labs. No one ever told me it was cancelled. I had waited for an hour and a half by then.
