I called to schedule an exam and circumcision for my son at the same appointment. The lady said they typically do circumcisions after 6 months but it would be up to the doctor at the appointment, leading me to believe if he was ok, then he could get it done that same day. The doctor was very quick, and the whole exam was over within a minute. The doctor might have spent a total of 2 minutes in the room. I am so thankful I found GA Urology and Dr. Smith! He has cared for both of my sons for over 10 years, and I am so very glad we have him. Best doctor and surgeon we could have ever asked for. I could not imagine having to go through hypospadias repair for my children with anyone else. His nurses and staff are excellent as well.
The doctors are knowledgeable, and I’m very thankful to Dr Cerwinka for his performance on my son’s surgery. It was scary having to have an operation for my less than 1 month old, but he did great, and a year later, the issue has not returned. That being said, the office staff and how the business is run is atrocious. You always have to wait forever to get a live person when you call, and though I was told at many appointments “the nurse” would set up a follow up or referral, I always had to hound them to get anything done.... read more
Dr. Garcia is very unprofessional and did not listen to any of my concerns. When he was talking to me he did not once looked at me and he seemed annoyed that we were there. My son had an ultrasound done at CHOA and his pediatrician wanted us to go to Urology after reviewing the results. Dr. Garcia didn't want to go over the ultrasound report, he said it was unnecessary and told me "sorry you waisted your time coming here". I have never been treated like this.
Georgia Urology is an amazing group of doctors who love and care for their patients and families. I am so thankful for Edwin Smith who saved my daughter's life and continues to give her great care. If y'all are looking for somewhere for your child I highly recommend them.
