I lived at Glencoe Hills for about two years and would not choose to live here again. Days after moving in, I reported a persistent pest issue that required repeated work orders over an extended period before it was adequately addressed. We like it, but parking is awful and it’s too expensive for the issues you deal with. The staff have changed a lot but I think they’re getting better. There was a fire recently, no letter to the residents or explanation to why, but the folks in the first floor apartments assume it has to do with someone using a space heater cause the first floor is always freezing. I am a current resident and have only been here for 5 months and already looking to move. This is not a family friendly community. It is better described as a high priced college dormatory. There are more college students than families. I have been living under some inconsiderate students who thinks it's funny to drag furniture across the floor, stomp, slam things and walk hard just because they can knowing management won't say or do anything. The office staff is very confrontational. They don’t communicate within the office staff at all, and the staff rotates constantly. They don’t enforce the rules on their lease, and get extremely irritable if you try to hold them accountable. They insist Great Lakes Security patrols here, but when we called GLS about a problem, they had trouble even finding the Oaks property. This isn’t an honest company, take your money elsewhere!

Staff is rather rude and the prices change each time I have talked to them. Josh on the phone honestly seemed like he could care less about me bringing my family here. They were unable to get me a day to walk the property so I did it myself and am going to choose somewhere else. I parked on the main drag and the grass is like a swamp and I talked to one of the residents and they have had all kinds of maintenance issues and I walked to the other apartments and the difference in people is night and day.
