I am fortunate to have had great luck with Dr. Sfeir and his office. I have been a patient at this office for around 6 years. I've seen multiple people in the office depending on what I needed. I always felt heard, listened to and that they were trying to help. If a medication didn't work, or one I didn't want to take there was an alternative. The only blip, I've had was for a time it was hard to get an appointment. However, it was mutually decided that I see someone else at the practice since I was not high risk. He talked ... read more

Came in and asked me why I was there. Also told me to go to Mayos. I had seen a partner in his office maybe 2 years ago and he threw that up in my face I told him she told me "I am not the one for you" but I should not have come to see him. Ok will not anymore.

I would go in unprepared and when he would ask my symptoms (Hypothyroid) I would draw a blank. I finally went head to toe and typed up a list of symptoms that was more than a page long! He wanted nothing to do with the list and said he could refer me to Mayo. I stated I didn't want to go to Mayo and just wanted him to listen to what I had to say. He only wants to prescribe Synthroid (synthetic thyroid replacement) and not look at any alternatives. If traditional meds don't work go elsewhere.

Diagnosed as Hyperthyroid (Grave's Disease) and in the ER twice. From Peoria, visit family monthly, but live 2 hours South. ER made a referral to Dr Sfeir, as I had no medication. First, Shauna said I had to wait a month. Even in thyroid storm. Then, didn't have my referral even though ER sent. Then, office manager refused my referral bc I lived outside the area. Dr might be great, but good luck getting past his horrible staff. They don't care about emergency thyroid pts. Chang saw me rt away.

Very disappointing - felt like I was herded through like cattle and when the brand name synthetic thyroid replacement drug didn't work, I was cut loose from his practice. Completely unwilling to try any other solutions despite the fact that I STILL have a medical condition because it didn't fit into the narrow parameters of his practice. You can't get the nurses to call you back if you can't wait on hold for an hour and decide to leave a voicemail. Waste of an office.

I have had Hashimoto's Th yroiditis many years. I have also been overweight for most of my whole life and I feel it's because of this disease. I told him I was allergic to L-Thyroxine and he wouldn't give me anything else. I stopped the med and my symptoms went away. He also prescribed me a diet pill and I have come across other people he has treated the same way. My husband went to him for something else but we both quit going to this office.
