A little history about HAPO We are often asked what "HAPO" stands for. HAPO is an acronym for Hanford Atomic Products Operations. HAPO was formed by a group of non-exempt workers at the Hanford nuclear site in 1953 to provide a place to save and borrow money. Our first office was located in Kadlec Hospital. When we opened our doors for business, it was with one employee and were only open on Saturday's from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We remained at the Kadlec until 1956. If you are in the military serving our country do NOT use Hapo Community Credit Union for any of your banking. Our son who is in active duty and will be for the next 3yrs has to keep his motorcycle with full coverage insurance while it sits in our garage which is fully covered by our home owner insurance. Our insurance company said we could have liability on it while it sits not being driven but Hapo said nope! So I will be paying it off and NEVER give them our business again!!!!
I needed a document notorized and they did it for me right away for free, and I am not even a customer. Thank you!
