This used to be our vet for over 15 years. Unfortunately the quality of care has went downhill drastically in the last 2 years or so. I used to love this vet and would always recommend them. Now I will never use them or recommend them. I will warn people and let them know what happened to us. First incident happened with my son's dog. He has been taking his dog here since he was a puppy. Healthy Paws Belleville is wonderful. They removed my dog’s abdominal mass and did her teeth cleaning. The veterinarian and all the staff members were so kind to us. They kept me well informed about the procedure, timeline, and cost. I felt that they really cared about my dog and advised on the essential treatments to help keep the cost down. Very friendly. But, seemed to not do a very thorough exam. Did not check my boys temperature, or look in their ears. The Dr is saw seemed to be adamant that i should not try a med for my boys. I have one that developed an afraid of everything life. I have tried sooo many of the calming products to no avail. Honestly the dr seemed very loud and hyper to start with.
My dog gets nervous coming to the vet, but each time we have visited this location, he warms up to the staff very quickly. They take good care of him and are very thorough with their evaluations, kind and patient. It is also common to get a same day appointment if you call early which is nice.
My experience is from trying to support a dear lady while she tried desperately to save her animal. This vet is a joke. They do not care about saving lives, they care about money. they wont help you if you try to advocate for yourself or your animal, instead they deny you care if you question them or try desperately to get them to understand your pet needs a certain medication. Now this poor baby might die as the poor parent is being denied help or medication from this vet and cant get this vet to give the parent the medicat... read more
