Wow, what a GREAT RV resort. Very clean park. From the restrooms to the office to the pool to the dog park, everything was perfect. There is even lush green grass in the dog park, unbelievable. All the staff is phenomenal. The clubhouse with restaurant and live entertainment and activities was great. Really enjoyed the bands, great music. Couldn't get a better location to all the local amenities. We were in an RV and our kids and grandkids stayed in a cabin. Someone from Heartland called at 10:50am on the day we planned to leave. Without so much as a 'hello' she said: Op: Ms. Oliver do you realize what time it is? Do you know you're supposed to leave by 11am today? Me: Yes, we got a late start, but are rushing to get going. Op: I'll give you a grace period of an hour, but if you're not out by 12noon I'll have to charge you $25. We'd been here for 11 days. On the day of our departure less than half the sites were filled. This was our family's first spot to camp in our travel trailer for our Great American Road Trip of 2026 this past week. We picked this RV park as it was perfectly positioned between the Black Hills and the Badlands. Both of which were all in our trip plans. We departed our home in Denver on Sunday about 1pm and arrived about 7:30 pm that evening. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and full of helpful information staff. We absolutely loved this place! The staff were amazing and friendly and helpful. Thank you to Jim, Dale, Mark, Jeanine, Big Ray and everyone else there who made our stay so pleasant and welcoming. The food is also fantastic! Get the fried pickles with bbq sauce (trust me)! The bathrooms and laundry services are clean and efficient. The cabins are sweet and well ventilated. We loved the spacious site and view of the cows on the hillside in the morning. Even though it is by the highway, we did not hear the traffic. We visited right before Sturgis and it was getting quite busy in the area. This resort is a quick drive from lots of the area's attractions. We were provided with a map and list of places to explore, which we appreciated. The bathrooms by the pool and hot tub were very clean. We loved the free library as well! Very friendly staff too!
