I recently purchased my 2nd pair of Hearing aids with Dawn Appontee (spelling ?) with HEAR USA. Both experiences were informative and productive. The staff at this location has always been helpful and pleasant. Mrs. Appontee obviously knows her product and works to make sure that they are optimized to do the best job for her customer. Julia, in the New Port Richey, Florida store, is an absolutely wonderful service tech. She is very knowledgeable, and her kindness is beyond compare. She also is a good teacher, and I learn a little bit more about my hearing aids every visit. I’m 70, so I don’t get the tech knowledge all in one visit. It takes a while to sink in. Julie does this with patience and a good spirit.
Dawn, Julia, and the staff are very professional and friendly. They got out of their way to make you happy. The hearing aids are the best and two you are comfortable which one you choose.
The audiologist was very competent and pleasant and the hearing exam was professionally done. HearUSA is the only provider my insurance worked with, but even with the $1000 per ear coverage hearing aids were $4000. I did try a pair of Signia's top of the line hearing aids for a week, but really wanted to try Widex brand (which they didn't have on hand, apparently, despite being the official brick and mortar storefront for both Signia and Widex).
