I was very pleased with my initial appointment. Front office staff was friendly and helpful.There were several people who came in for issues they were having as I was was filling out paperwork . All seemed happy with their hearing aids, there needs were handled within a few minutes and each client left HAPPY! The exam and consultation with Jeffrey Zemrak was thorough, professional and all my questions were answered. I was not rushed or "pressured" in any way. I had a very good experience with this provider.
Avoid this business unless you'd like to wait hours for a scheduled appointment only to then receive crappy service. Their products are no good. Your better off shopping elsewhere or even Costco for hearing aids that last or don't have to change their battery daily. My elderly mother absurdly HATES the hearing aids she purchased here. We were stuck because they have the Kaiser contract. Not doing this again, I've informed kaiser of their crappy service and crappy product. They didn't do their own test but used one the insurance had sent me to a couple months ago. Claimed I get best hearing aids. Independent review shows mediocre. Last apptm, had new guy there who did a test. Still can't hear in groups or on TV. They charged my insurance 5k. Got better ones, self-pay at Costco for $1,700.
The audiologist is amazingly knowledgeable about how to improve hearing not only with their hearing aids but individually on your own! . The fellow at the front desk, however, is a jerk and not only abrupt/unhelpful to customers but did not answer the phone for the first 40 minutes the store was open! I give the audiologist 5 stars and the receptionist one star.
Let me begin this review, but stating that I am 60 years old, and I have worn hearing aids since I was four years of age. So I am not a newcomer to the world of hearing aids…. I began using HEARusa when I moved to Bakersfield 5 years ago. The customer service WAS (not is) first class until they replaced the front desk staff.
