Dr. Donaldson is an empathetic, experienced and kind man. His diagnosis is very accurate, and he offers solution just in time. However, I had difficulties communicating with their office staff, and didn't dare to perform my FESS here. I have no doubt on the doctor's profession, but this is my first surgery so I went to UCSD Health. Eventually the solution is the same. It's a pity that I waited for another 2 months but not choosing Dr. Donaldson.
Unfortunately, my appointment experience was affected by poor communication. The receptionist provided me with an appointment time and when I arrived was told I was 15 minutes late. They did not leave a voicemail or provide an appointment card to confirm details. As a result, I missed my appointment. This could have been easily avoided with proper follow-up. Doctor was great but won’t be returning because of this issue.
Dr. Donaldson and his team are wonderful. He is an outstanding surgeon and physician. His bedside manner is so reassuring and competent. He listens to your concerns and takes them seriously. Never rushed. I send my family and friends here. He performed my daughter’s tonsillectomy and gave her relief after years of her struggling with pain and discomfort. I had an accident at work which resulted in my nose getting damaged. I was referred to see Dr. Donaldson at Hillcrest ENT by my workers comp. Making appointments were a breeze, and the receptionists and nurses were all happy and polite. Dr. Donaldson was a caring, straight-forward doctor who completely fixed my nose with septorhinoplasty. Dr. Donaldson and the whole team have always treated me very professionally and kindly. I had an incident in their building, and despite not having anything to do with it directly, they were very helpful. Dr. Donaldson's bedside manner is 5/5 stars and he has a way of explaining the issue, treatment, and recovery process in a very digestible way. Front office staff is courteous and friendly as well. Strongly recommend.
