It was a beautiful experience. The view is nice from the overlook tower. We took a power plant tour and bought tickets at the visitor center. The best part is that all the tours are inside.outside was 110F, so this was a blessing. Their exhibit is nice and very informative. Definitely recommend visiting this place. Overall, it took 3.5 hrs for us to complete everything, including lunch They also have covered parking for $10. Cafeteria is best. I was able to get veggie wrap, and that was tasty, too 😋

I ordered the power plant tour the day before and arrived right at 9. Parking was pretty easy (early April) and the $10 fee in cash is recommended. It is a little confusing to drive in as you go through initial car security before you get to scenic lookouts and parking. We went to the parking deck and not the slightly more remote parking lot. I regret not going to the scenic outlook first because we were too tired after our tour. There are a lot of elevators so most of the area is accessible. We upgraded our power plant t... read more

This is a great place for the entire family to visit. It is an amazing feat of engineering and it is remarkable that the entire project was completed in only 5 years. The Hoover Dam has changed the landscape of the Southwest United States and has allowed millions of people to have flourishing lives in many SW states. They have a gift shop, cafe and a parking garage. We enjoyed our visit and the tour.

To visit the Dam is free but they do offer tours that are available down the escalators. Parking is also free but there is covered parking that is $10 for your whole visit. We went on Thursday around the afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. We were only able to see the plant tour because the dam was down? There was about a 30min wait. The plant tour starts off with a 10 min video then take the elevator down to see the plant. You do have to pass through a government checkpoint when driving up the dam so no weapons or drones.

It was really worth it to do the one hour guided tour. They took you through the old tunnels. The art deco and the Native American artwork on the floors were cool to see. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. With all of us international visitors wish they could tell you measurements in both Imperial and Metric so we’re not so lost in 🦶 🦶 😂
