Hoover Dam is one of those bucket-list destinations that everyone should experience at least once. It's an incredible engineering achievement, and it's hard not to be impressed by what the workers accomplished decades ago. Getting through the entrance can take a little time since vehicles are screened before entering, and firearms are not permitted on the property. You definitely learn a lot. We did the 25 dollar tour the 40 dollar one they weren't doing due to maintenance. We really enjoyed walking around and seeing everything. Gift shop was cool too. Make sure you bring water if you plan on walking around a lot.

Took a day trip from Vegas. Great tour & tour guides. There was one tour guide that didn't take our group, but was asking everyone where they were from & he knew lots about each location. That was fun to listen to him before the tour. $40 for the dam tour seems a little steep, but it was a cool experience.
About 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas, and absolutely worth the drive 🚗💨. Even if you just happen to be driving by, this is definitely worth the stop.
