Amazing experience at one of the modern marvels of engineering! The visitor center is free to enter and explore but we highly recommend purchasing one or more tours for a closeup look at the dam and learn about the history through interactive displays. One good way to explore the Dam is to park at one of the top level parking. Then enjoy a nice walk to the visitor center with a view of the dam and lake. The hydro power center tour is also highly recommended.
Awesome sight ranks right behind the Grand Canyon. It’s a must see. Very well laid out. Visitor center under renovations but looks awesome will be an added value. Must have id to get in. Can walk the bridge and the dam also can drive across.
Overall a great experience but it was hot as hell...avoid late July is you can unless you like walking around in 110 degree weather. We had a retreat here in the Spillway Conference Room and it was great along with the behind the scenes tour. Did not get to walk across the huge bridge overlooking it though.
Just stop by this location. This is really amazing and great construction. We don’t have time to tour the whole place. Suggest to buy a ticket to tour the construction and hear the introduction from the employees. When we took pictures and videos what a great it is, suddenly felt human is too small compared with nature.
Beautiful views! The power plant tour is awesome! Our tour guide was so knowledge about the dam and how everything. A must see for sure!
