I am so glad we made this trip. It was very worthwhile. There’s parking on both the Nevada side and the Arizona side where you could pay $10 to park which gets you closer to the dam but if you don’t mind walking a little bit, I would save your $10 and just walk. The view was awesome. There’s a lot of history. There were some neat monuments. Some of the sidewalks are kind of small so when you get those couples that can’t walk in front of each other and they have to walk side-by-side it makes it a little annoying but it’s all ... read more

I love it here. Has been here many times. Got the stamp inside of the Hoover dam visiter center. Parking fee was $10. Went to go over the tall bridge. It was cool but we saw nothing from the bridge due to the walls. Lol

My wife and I decided to skip the tour and ended up paying just $10 to park. We drove to the top of the road, and visited the gift shop on the way down while enjoying the views. Seeing the scale of it all in person was amazing. Definitely worth the trip!

Went on a spur of the moment trip to the Hoover dam from Vegas. I honestly was not expecting much but had a wonderful time. A stunning views, amazing history, and a chance to pee on the bridge. 😁(I used the bathroom!) The brief tour we took explained so much of how the bridge was constructed in the history. I love the facts they provide about how each state contributed to the building of the dam.

You can NOT go to Vegas and NOT see the Hoover Dam; truly awe inspiring! Built nearly 100 years ago and still functioning quite well, supplying the electrical needs of the desert communities that surround it. Please allow time to take the museum tour. Amazing to see how much the water level of Lake Meade has dropped over recent years. Hoover Dam is an icon of our American history and an essential source of energy for the region. The park service treats it as such, too. Remember that as you stop at the front gate.
