Some of the other ICCU locations seem to not be as highly reviewed. Thankfully, for me, the Star Branch is, well, a star. My wife and I just moved to Star. I came in today to become a new member. I have belonged to credit unions for over 30 years and have always appreciated the service they provide. ICCU is about a half mile from my home, very convenient for me. If you like paying money for cashier's checks or print a sheet of checks, then you would probably give this a 5 star. ICCU used to be the home-town friendly fee-less bank, now it feels like US Bank, BofA, or Chase. btw, i asked if the fee could be waived, and then they told me why it cost money. im not sure the manager understands how they make money, but it's by me storing my money there, so actually you make more than any fee you could charge me by storing my money. Did a HELCO through them, it has been an awful and frustrating experience. 1st time signing, my husband got called back 3 times, each time after he had left the building, because something wasn't done right. Only to have that signing not count at all. They failed to tell us that I needed to come in and also sign paperwork, even though I wasn't on the HELOC. Told us we could use the bill pay feature, to access the HELCO....we couldn't. Told me that I was on the loan now and could come into the branch and pick up the debit ca... read more
Over 10 years ago the military forced me to file bankruptcy for my security clearance. My account was was put into the forced bankruptcy. I tried to open today and was told no we would have to pay the loss from the bk. OK, not a problem. Except they don't tell you how to pay it off to open the account. However, glad they did this so I know what kind of treatment their customers receive.
I just want to say that Lucy is an amazing employee. She is friendly and helpful. I had been having an issue with the mobile app for awhile. I had been to two other ICCU locations previously, and at both locations I was told that they couldn’t help me. Lucy was the first one to actually dive into the issue and see that it was something she could help with. A+ employee.
