I was squeezed in as an emergency and I was taken quickly and all precautions followed. Tests were run and it was determined there had been an occlusion in the eye and I needed to head to the ER for a stroke work up. The doctor typed up her notes and I was able to take them with me to the ER which sped up my admission. Everyone in the office was so kind and the doctor very empathetic. For a terrifying and scary visit they made me feel so well tended to and I am grateful for their wonderful care.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Shepard and her office. Her staff was very competent and made sure to move everything along very smoothly. And she did a great job of explaining to me what was going on and gave me some good assurances.

I was initially referred to Illinois Retina Associates by my ophthalmologist in Miami at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, which is ranked number one year after year in the country. So I became rather familiar with what top eye care consists of. While IRA does not provide the depth of expertise as I have been used to, for what I need IRA does a very credible provision of services and I am satisfied with my treatment there.

This was a second opinion visit and I’m satisfied with the diagnosis. Although Dr Shepard had a surgery scheduled, they got me in same day due to my condition. This office will provide follow up care for my PVD and I’m confident that I’m in good hands.

Dr. Shepard was very attentive and spent time explaining the procedure to us. We are very satisfied and feel comfortable in having her perform the procedure.
