Dr Civantos squeezed me into his busy day and was able to save my eye that had a tear in the retina. I had my follow up five days later and the procedure worked very well and my eyesight is slowly coming back. He gave me a choice of laser or surgery and I appreciated him explaining both procedures and all the pros/cons, he is very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this Dr. i’m glad my eye doctor recommended him. Great experience and I highly recommend Dr Civantos
Got paid daily from my mom going to him for 3 years after going to someone else who cleared up her blurry eye. He said he “didn’t see anything” wrong with my mother’s eye, even though her vision was foggy. She got fed up and went to another doctor who said not only did he see something but was able to schedule a surgery and cleared up my mom’s eye in 5 mins. She’s struggled with her vision for so long since finding out she was type 1 diabetic and am truly disgusted with this doctor and our healthcare system. Don’t go here.
I have been a patient of Illinois Retina Associates for decades. I met Dr. Civantos for the first time today. He was patient and kind and offered much needed advice. The staff was incredible throughout my entire visit. We are so fortunate to have this amazing expertise in our community!
I have been with Dr. Civantos for 10 years. Because of his care and advice, I have been able to keep my injured eye(RVO) at a stable level. I trust his expertise and would encourage my own relatives to his care. I have spoken to many friends who now are Dr. Civantos' patients. Most likely, had I not started treatment with Doctor, I would have lost significant vision. God bless him for his dedicated work.
Dr. Civantos and the workers who prepped me for the procedure were efficient and kind. Dr. Civantos clearly explained my condition and the options for the treatment. After choosing my option, he quickly contacted my insurance company and in a very short time, completed the procedure. I was provided with aftercare instructions and after procedure expectations.
