I have thoroughly enjoyed being a patient of Illinois retina associates. I originally went for a retinal detachment after my first surgery from another hospital that did not fix the issue. Dr. MacCumber is very knowledgeable, has spent lots of time with me explaining exactly what to expect and really makes an effort to get to know his patients. I have been an established patient for 8 years following Vitrectomy surgery performed by Dr MacCumber. His level of expertise magnificent…the efficiency of the office could use some re-examining Extremely kind professionals, however, the wait time between arrival and actual time with the Dr is excruciating. There is signage and messaging that warns of 21/2 to 3 hour delays but to have only one Dr with office hours out of 24 doctors on staff is more than what I would call a desired fair load for both patients and the practi... read more
Dr. Macumber is terrific. Very detail oriented and professional and his staff are the same. He always has time for my questions and provides thoughtful feedback/suggestions. He sends prompt reports to my other physicians, which is helpful. I have referred friends to him. There is often a long wait in the office, but not today.
Dr MacCumber and all his staff make the whole experience of getting my retinas examined as easy and stress free as possible. They are friendly and professional and explain clearly what’s going on. I trust Dr MacCumber’s experience, knowledge, and skill and am grateful my optometrist referred me to him.
Extremely smart and a very good doctor. I needed a laser treatment for lattice degeneration and they caught it early and made sure nothing bad happened. I highly recommend him
