I started going to Illinois Retina probably since 2018. In all that time the service has always been very good…all the staff has been nothing but friendly and professional…the office does get busy at times and the wait may be a little long, however each patient is given the attention needed with care and compassion. Dr. MacCumber is cool and super helpful in explaining what the issue is and the best way to handle the matter. I may not want the suggested solution but he’s never steered me wrong. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I didn't have to wait that long this time. Even though I was a bit late. The assistants were very nice. And Doctor McCumber is very knowledgeable. And he explained everything that was going on with my condition.

Thanks to Dr. MacCumber for being a highly trained professional surgeon in the Optometry profession. He performed surgery three years ago on my right eye and in April of 2025, I had... read more

The most horrible experience today as I had an appointment at 10:30 AM. I wasn’t seen until two hours later with Lots of confusion going on with staff with only two people there on my visit at 10 and once it was noon, there were about four people and that’s when I got called in and everything just happened. I literally ran out horrible, horrible service, the staff there did not even know what they were doing. I trust my eyes with the doctor, not with his staff and especially that staff that treated me there today never wil... read more
