I would absolutely recommend I-Storage in Shakopee! I just had the best experience with Rebecca the new manager at this location. She took the time needed to figure out our problem and solve it, over the phone with me so I didn't need to go in to the store. She was a delight to deal with & I appreciated her help! The short story: Zero stars. I rented at iStorage in 2022 and then again in 2024-2025. If I could, I would give it zero stars. Personally, I would never rent at this location or any owned by NSA ever again. If you are looking for a good storage facility in the area, I found one within 15 minutes of iStorage with superior service, security, and cleanliness for essentially the same price. It is April 8. IM paid up until April 22.I received a bill from I storage for $245 in my junk mail- pretty sneaky. Most people clear their junk mail folder. I paid 3 months in advance back on Jan 2021 for a bigger storage unit (ON THE SAME PROPERTY!) my mistake was telling them VERBALLY of our intentions: to move out of one storage and into a bigger one. After 8 years I alerted owner Dave I was moving my travel trailer to Florida. After a look into the system, I was told I was paid up through June,19 and there was no mention of a needed move out form. I was out a week before June 19th yet I just received a call that I was overdue for July. I reminded Dave of my stopping in and alerting him to the planned vacating of my spot prior to Mt exit yet he insisted I pay for another month... why did he not provide me with an exit form when I alerted him of my plans.. Poor customer service! They are only out to rip you off. Take my advice, there are other storage places close, keep looking
