Works great at input to my 1 HP pool pump, instant priming I installed this in my pool system to ease pump priming at startup and to prevent backflow from my skimmer. It works great with my 1 HP pump. And I have two other check-valves in my pool system in series.
Would recommend Great product
Less restriction than a plain 90 elbow from big-box hardware stores Not the most cost effective product. I used to ensure the water from my salt water chlorinator does not flow back into my heater. The 90 degree angle in this unit has better flow characteristics than you basic hardware store 90 degree. Ensure the flap is on the lower side for proper function.

Flow up install Works great but follow instructions for flow up installation. Check valve needs the head pressure to seal 100%.

Works like a champ! Pretty simple devise and installed easily. I did not do my homework prior to purchasing and bought the larger 2" to 2.5" check valve when the 1.5" to 2" valve is what I needed. So, I purchased a couple reducers. I did not download the install instructions either which bit me as well. This check valve keeps the water from draining from my hot tub to the lower water level in the pool when the pool filter pump shuts down. protect your muiltport valve from chlorine it eats the metal purchase to protect my pool port valve from the chlorine that back up into eats my springs
