Works Great! Cheaper! Greater Tolerance in Salt Levels! I have owned Pool Frog and another brand of chlorinators. And to date this is the best of the three. My pool is sparkling clear and I now get to sleep in the afternoons rather than clean the pool
It's easy to install I've installed this unit on pools ranging from 5,000 gallons up to 28,000 gallons. It's easy to install, simple to operate and maintain, and sells for a very reasonable price. An added bonus is its ability to be wired 120v or 240v without toggling a switch or moving jumpers.
Five Stars a
Nice system with a reasonable install Simple install, no leaks, and virtually eliminates the need for additional chemicals. Be aware you will need to do light electrical work, and pick up the needed materials accordingly, so plan for some additional expense based on your individual setup. This unit does reccomend a higher ppm of salt than others, but what sold me is replacement parts are currently readily available. Just getting started on this type of setup, but typical element life seems to be 3-5 years, and this will be t... read more
Five Stars great
finally happy with my pool What a difference this system has made And installation was very easy. My old salt system was a zodiac lm 24 Which had an inlet and a outlet. I had to replumb the pvc to install this unit but if your even a little handy it won't be had to do. All the parts needed for installation are inclued even the hole saw thats needed to drill the ports for the cell. We have had it in use for about 4 weeks now with no problems.
Salt Chlorinator System Finally, I updated to the Salt System for chlorine generation. It is absolutely phenomenal! Why did I wait so long? However, there are some advantages with the latest electronic controller technology. Great LCD readout. Easy salt quantity determination. Cyclical polarization to reduce calcium build-up on the cell plates. And other readout benefits. I installed it myself. Relatively easy. I chose the 240v system, although there is a "plug-in" 120 system. We are super-pleased.
handy enough for this researched all salt systems, this one cost more for size of pool and I wanted 240 volts.(TWO WIRE HOCK-UM UP, THREE WIRE SCREW-UM UP) less AMPS. no cutting into piping. drill two holes, lightly sand area and install cell. my piping 1 1/2'. installed and making salt in an hour. reason so long added 20 40pd bags of pool salt. no need for flow switch, in use for 3 weeks and pool looks great, no chlorine taste, and have added zero chemicals. temperature has beeb in the 100's for a week. I can not agree with... read more
JUNK JUNK! Had it installed followed all of te directions my salt reads 5200. Go to 2 different pool stores to test my water both said water is perfect at 3300 ppm. Tried emailing customer service because they don't have a phone number and they basically said nothing we can do. So now it won't produce chlorine because it thinks there's to much. Do waste your money
